Vancouver Island 2

The day after our Victoria adventures, when we drove from Victoria to Nanaimo -- the long way through the logging trails.    We made a normally 120km trip last an amazing 12 hours.

I swear for a while there we were the only people in the whole world.

I want that 70-200mm 2.8.  Bad.

Bundle of joy, beautiful mess, yes, my best friend's wife had a baby last night.  She's such a gorgeous creature and we all love her already.

I'm trying to visit her as much as possible before I move to Mexico.

Vancouver Island 1

My first day/night in the city of Victoria on Vancouver Island back in March, spent mainly with Ben and Jade here.

It's amazing how simple aquaintances can become meaningful friends so quickly.

Nike Pool

This is about to start being a photo blog proper, but someone showed me this clip a few weeks ago now and I love it.  I'm not really into BMX riding (it's sport...), but the quality of this video is amazing -- the camera work, editing and music encapsulate such a fantastic vibe.  To me it's just as much for people into bikes as it is for people who like beautiful things.

Aside from that, it's worth noting that director Harrison Boyce has used a 7D; it's yet another demonstration of why video capability on DSLRs has become far more than just a feature or an add-on: it's definitely proving to be a powerful tool when it's on the right camera.
